Marijke Melles is associate professor in Human-Centered Design for Quality of Care at Delft University of Technology, Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering.
Marijke has a background in Industrial Design Engineering and Human Factors. Her research expertise lies in the field of human factors for complex sociotechnical systems, in particular how human-centered design can facilitate teamwork in multi-stakeholder networks. Her main area of application is the field of healthcare focusing on inter-professional teamwork and patient participation in care networks.
Marijke is involved as (co-)promotor in the projects Human-Centered Networked Care (DC7) and A Network Communication Platform to Support Transmural Care Teams (DC8).
